At Harcourts Carolinas, we believe a great community is built by bringing people together, celebrating local talent, and creating spaces where meaningful connections can happen. That’s why it was such an honor to open our doors for a special Men’s Night for Her Story, Her Voice, a local community initiative dedicated to shining a spotlight on the incredible authors and storytellers right here in Columbia, South Carolina.
A Celebration of Stories, Inspiration, and Local Talent
Her Story, Her Voice has become a wonderful gathering for readers, writers, and anyone who appreciates the power of a good story. The group typically features four to five local female authors, each sharing a snippet of their work and offering a behind-the-scenes look at their journey as a writer. From the inspiration behind their books to the experiences that shaped their stories, these evenings give attendees a personal connection to the people behind the pages.
Each event includes readings, conversation, a lively question-and-answer session, and an opportunity to purchase books directly from the authors. It’s an intimate and engaging way to discover new voices, support local creatives, and connect with others who share a love of literature.
This month, however, the spotlight shifted to the men of Columbia!
An Evening Featuring Some of Columbia’s Finest Authors
The speaker lineup for this special event was truly something to celebrate. We were thrilled to welcome:

John M. Starino
These talented authors brought their unique perspectives, experiences, and stories to the room, giving attendees an opportunity to hear directly from the people behind the books. With engaging readings, thoughtful conversations, audience questions, and plenty of opportunities to mingle, the evening was a wonderful reminder of just how much literary talent we have in our own backyard.
And, of course, no great community gathering would be complete without a few nibbles, good conversation, and the chance to connect with new people!
More Than Real Estate: Creating Space for Community
At Harcourts Carolinas, our mission extends beyond buying and selling homes. We want to be an active part of the community we serve. Our office is a place where people can gather, exchange ideas, celebrate one another’s accomplishments, and build relationships that extend well beyond business.
