You could say real estate is in Tara’s DNA. With a father who was a real estate agent from 1980 to 2000, and an uncle in the business since the 1960s, Tara quite literally grew up around open houses, "Just Listed" signs, and neighborhood farming. Some of her earliest memories include helping her dad host open houses and walking communities with her mom. These experiences shaped her deep understanding and love for the industry.
Before launching her own real estate career, Tara gained valuable behind-the-scenes experience working in commercial finance, distributing construction loans, and later as a project manager for a residential builder. This gave her a unique perspective on the building and buying process, equipping her with a well-rounded knowledge base she still draws on today.
Early in her career, Tara worked as a licensed real estate assistant managing her then broker’s property management company: a hands-on role that built the foundation for her current work with landlords and real estate investors. Since joining Harcourts in 2018, she’s helped grow the brand in Dana Point, California, and was later offered the exciting opportunity to serve as the Harcourts Ambassador here in the Southeast.
Now the proud Head Broker and Co-Owner of Harcourts Carolinas, Tara leads with heart, vision, and high standards. She is dedicated to building a brokerage that’s both professional and personal — where every client is treated like family.
Tara is also deeply rooted in her community. She has served as a chairperson for several local causes, is an active member of two school PTA boards, her local church and founded a Women in Business networking group that empowers female entrepreneurs across the Northeast. She’s especially passionate about the special needs community. A cause close to her heart, as her oldest son is an autistic adult. His journey has given Tara new perspective on parenting and life, teaching her the power of self-advocacy and creative problem-solving. These lessons have become her superpowers in real estate: she fiercely advocates for her clients and navigates even the most complex transactions with empathy, resourcefulness, and grace.
Tara is no stranger to commitment. She’s been married for over 25 years to the man she first had a crush on in high school and met in junior high — though he didn’t quite catch on until after college. Let’s just say Tara played the long game, and it paid off. That same determination shows up in her real estate work: she doesn’t give up easily, and she always fights for the best possible outcome for her clients.
Tara is also a proud mom of three incredible sons; she brings the same energy and devotion to her clients that she gives to her family. Whether she’s negotiating a deal or organizing a community event, Tara shows up with heart, hustle, and humor.
When she's not serving clients or spending time with her family, you might find Tara planning her next travel adventure, cooking or enjoying a live performance. As a former theater kid, she brings a flair for fun to everything she does — and loves connecting with people who know how to laugh and not take life too seriously.
